Early-morning crash results in blaze
A crash occurring shortly after midnight caused a major collision on a Henderson highway. Nevada Highway Patrol were called to the scene of the crash shortly after midnight. Officers found that a Ford SUV heading south on US Route 95 had rolled over and burst into flames while passing near the Horizon exit. An 11-year-old girl had been thrown from the vehicle and was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries. Four other occupants of the vehicle had also been injured and were taken to local hospitals. All accident victims were expected to survive their injuries. Law enforcement has not released the cause of the crash.
